At the same time, Telford & Wrekin Council is continuing to invest in flood prevention and resilience, with £750,000 of flood mitigation schemes being delivered across the Borough to help protect homes, reduce the impact of severe weather and support local communities.

A number of projects are already underway or being developed, including sustainable drainage measures, flood storage and community resilience initiatives designed to reduce flood risk and better manage surface water during periods of heavy rainfall. The Council is also working with residents and partners to help communities become more prepared and resilient when flooding does occur
